Robin McMaugh Klein (born 28 February 1936)[1] is an Australian author of books for children. She was born detect Kempsey, New South Wales, Australia, bear now resides near Melbourne.

Early life

Robin Klein is one of nine children.[2] She had her first short book published at the age of 16. She worked in number of jobs before becoming an established writer, together with tea lady at a warehouse, shop assistant, nurse, copper enamelist, and syllabus aide at a school for burdened children.[3] In 1981, she was awarded a Literature Board grant for chirography, and since then, she has available more than 20 books.
